THE AMPLIFY ROOM · A MAKERS GATHERING SERIES

Portland's makers, a different room every time.

A seasonal gathering that brings Portland's design and build community face to face with the makers behind the work. Hear their stories, learn how to spec and customize with them, and meet the people you'll refer for years.

Not a trade show. A room to walk out of with a bigger community than you walked in with.

WHY IT EXISTS

Built for the people who spec, build and refer.

A room for the design and build community

Architects, builders and designers hear each maker's story firsthand: how to spec them, customize with them and bring them into their own projects and networks.

A new Portland neighborhood, every time

Every gathering moves to a different space, putting Portland's neighborhoods and creative spaces on display. JICA Studios, Lovett Deconstruction and wherever is next.

An ecosystem of trust and reciprocity

Makers find collaborators, referrals and each other. Guests leave with names they will call. The network grows gathering by gathering.

“Amplify is about community and connection and collaboration. We amplify the stories of others. We build intentionally so that growth becomes possible. We give generously to each other.”

FROM THE ROOM

What people say after they leave.

"As an interior designer, I count on well curated, thoughtful events to introduce me to new and interesting local products, makers and vendors, and no one does this better than Amy. I make it a point to attend whatever she produces and I never leave disappointed."

INGRID SHOEMAKER · INGO DESIGN STUDIO

"So many people who had never been to Lovett before were finally here. It felt great to share what we do with completely new, yet totally aligned, people. The group of makers was inspiring, and we loved how people used our space."

TEAM LOVETT DECONSTRUCTION

"Amy has made it her mission to amplify artists and businesses in the world of interior design and architecture. She has set up mini trade shows for many smaller artistic studios that needed a venue to showcase their craft."

AMY BRIGHT · MILAN STONEWORKS

HOW MAKERS ARE CHOSEN

"I selected these makers for their quality of work, their ability to customize, and because they are damned good people to be in community with."

Each gathering features five to six makers, chosen by hand. The guest list is curated just as carefully: designers, architects, builders and the people who shape Portland's spaces.

"Give your energy, it's beautiful. Get to know how you can support each other. Maybe it's referrals, maybe you can collaborate, maybe you can use someone in a current or future project."
